My name is Ms. Brauder Gale Smith. I was born in Gunnison, MS in 1964. I accepted Christ at the age of seven. I graduated from Rosedale High in 1982. I attended Mississippi Delta Jr. College from 1982-1983. I was eager to join the workforce, so I decided to work full-time at Pizza Hut in Cleveland, MS. I couldn’t make ends meet, so I took a second job at Revco Drug Store. After working several years, I became unsatisfied with not completing my education, so I decided to return to Mississippi Delta Jr. College to complete my Associate degree in General Business II. I graduated in 1989 from Mississippi Delta Jr. College, and then I transferred to Delta State University where I attended for one year before transferring to Bluefield State College in Bluefield, WV. In 1992, I graduated from Bluefield State College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing and an Associate Degree in Business Management. I moved to Decatur, IL to be near my family and I entered the workforce again.
My first employment in Decatur, IL was as a Store Manager at El-Bee Shoes. Then, I had the opportunity to work for the Herald & Review Newspaper as a District Sales Manager. Upon leaving the newspaper, I began working for 95Q Radio Station. But, in September 1998, I began working for Illinois Power, which became Dynegy and now known as Ameren Illinois. While working here, I decided to return to school once again. I enrolled in a Master's program in September 2007. It was an accelerated program with Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. I completed my Master of Science in Organizational Behavior with concentrations in Change Management and Organization Development. It was an extremely rewarding experience to complete my Master’s degree in a 13 months program and to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. While in school, we were advised to select a topic that we are passionate about because of the amount time we will be researching the topic, so I decided to pick Media Ministry. I developed my thesis paper, which became my manuscript. And now, it is my book. My title is Media Ministry: 10 Keys to Success How to Create, Maintain, & Sustain a Dynamic Media Ministry. My heart's desire is to serve God every day the best I can. It is my aspiration to help fulfill the Great Commission that Jesus outlines in Matthew 28:19-20. Two of my favorite scriptures are Philippians 4:13 & Proverbs 3:5-6. Let’s work together to fulfill the Great Commission. Email me for your Media Ministry or any other consulting needs. | ||||||||
